We’re proud to be Wiltshire’s trained, approved providers of a technologically advanced cutting-edge sports field line marking system, which produces absolutely perfect results, saves on paint consumption and time, and is proving to be highly cost-effective.
Our revolutionary line-marking service is made possible by our robust little friend – an autonomous 3-wheeled robot designed in Denmark to perform consistently on all sports surfaces – natural grass, synthetic surfaces or dirt pitches.
This clever little machine is just 930mm high and 852mm wide, but in that space is packed 20 litres of high quality paint – enough to paint the markings on a full-sized football field without refilling. It has sufficient battery capacity (4H/680Wh) to allow it to keep going to mark up four footie fields in one go.
The most striking thing about our robot line-marker is its ability to deliver perfect positioning of uniform straight lines and arcs on sports fields or running tracks, both for initial marking or overmarking. Its accuracy is simply awesome.
Our technicians simply programme the robot’s software, using a tablet, to lay out the sports markings required. There are 120 inbuilt sport pitch templates to choose from – everything from rugby, croquet and netball to lacrosse, tennis and Quidditch.
The robot is then synchronised with a GPS base station, filled up with paint and set on its way. While the robot gets on with the line painting, we can get on with some chores for you, like weed-killing or hedge trimming, if you wish.
The secret of the robot’s incredible accuracy is the fact that it is controlled by a high-precision GPs – a network RTK corrected GNSS receiver – that continually provides the robot with updated positioning co-ordinates and information as it follows the template pattern.
If you have any special requirements, such as a layout not catered for in our pre-set selection of templates or a re-sized layout, we can programme the robot on site to provide the markings that you need.
Once we have marked your field the data is stored in the robot’s memory, which means when we return to do an over-marking we’ll have the exact co-ordinates and settings, all ready to go.
Instead of guiding a dribbling paint bucket around a field on foot the old-fashioned way, the robot will do the job more precisely and faster, taking hours rather than days to mark a pitch.
